The Optus Sports app shows Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, J.League, UEFA EURO 2020, Internationals, FA Women’s Super League and Fitness.

An Optus Sport subscription allows you to watch live and on-demand football, and you can work out with OS Fitness.  You can watch Optus Sport via a computer, mobile, tablet or via the television. Think Fetch, Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox One, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Android TV, LG Smart TV, Samsung TV and Satellite.

I was pleasantly surprised to find I had Optus Sport as part of my pre-paid mobile phone plan. I think my English husband was even more pleased as he was keen to watch the football live.

How to Set Up the Optus Sport App

First, I checked with my mobile phone plan via app to see whether Optus Sports was included in my plan. I was unsure where to look. Then I messaged a chatbot that recommended I check my add-ons in the My Optus app. Under the Service tab at the bottom, you’ll need to click on ‘Add-ons’ in the top menu bar. It showed that Optus Sport was Active. When you click on this, you’ll see Status, Cost, Start Date, Next billing date and your username.

After a quick reset of my password, I moved to my Samsung smart tv. I found the app and downloaded it. Then you will see a Welcome to Optus Sport screen. You can log in via the connect webpage or simply scan the QR code with the camera on your mobile device. When asked you’ll need to enter a 6-character code. Alternatively, you can log in with email instead.

Optus Sport App Features

When you first join the app, you can specify which teams you’d like to follow and your favourite.

You’ll see a handy UEFA EURO 2020 score bar with icons for each country. In the top right-hand corner, you can toggle the scores off and on. You can watch, view fixtures, results and the table.

Under watch is Live and Upcoming EURO 2020 Flashbacks, Shows, Replays, Must Read, Mini Matches, Highlights, Shorts, Interviews, Press Conferences and News.

The fixtures and results pages allows you to filter by clubs and month.  The table page is where you can view the group stages and knockout stages. Think quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.

Optus Sport Fitness

The app includes over 80 videos covering a range of workouts including Yoga, Pilates, Dance, core strength and more. You’ll find football skills training and fitness articles.
