Huawei’s new chic smartphone focuses its lens on photography with the inclusion of a nifty pop-out front camera that makes for a notch-less screen and makes selfies more fun.

Sleek in design, it maintains a light look and feel, weighing in at just under 1kg. Available in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue, the premium design is accompanied by 5 key features that Huawei hope will distinguish them from the rest:

Pop-up Selfie Camera

Invisible during regular usage, it activates itself only when the front camera is in use. In a split-second it can retract or emerge, making it extremely functional and easy to use all while adding a little spice to your selfie takings.

Notch-less Screen With Minimal Bezels

A full and unobstructed glass display, with minimal bezels, no holes, sliders, or notches, makes streaming videos or gaming that much more satisfying an experience.

Triple Rear Camera

The HUAWEI Y9 Prime 2019 uses a rear camera system with three lenses: one 16 MP lens, one 8 MP lens, and one 2 MP lens

Large Capacity Battery

Up to 108 hours of music and 22 hours of video thanks to a more performant and efficient battery, means that you can enjoy all the things you love, for longer; simple as that.

Mater AI Camera

Can detect up to 22 different scenes/objects and, automatically optimises the visual photographic experience

Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group in Australia, Larking Huang, said:

We’re excited to launch The Y9 Prime which I believe is one of the best value devices in market for under $400 (…) Aussies of all ages will love this phone.”
