Good news for anyone who’s been editing their videos on the go with clunky apps or waiting until they’re back at a laptop: Adobe Premiere’s mobile app has officially landed on Android. And is bringing professional-grade video editing tools straight to your phone.
Premiere mobile first launched on iPhone last year and quickly became a favourite for creators making everything from vlogs and tutorials to podcast clips and social content. Now that same experience is available to millions more people, and it doesn’t cost a cent to get started.

The relaity is that most of our best content ideas don’t happen at a desk. They happen at a concert, on the train home, or halfway through a coffee when something funny catches your eye. Premiere mobile is built around that reality, giving you pro-level editing tools that are still simple enough to use with one thumb while you’re out and about.

- No ads, no watermarks, no forced logins: You can jump in and start editing without hoops to jump through
Adobe has also confirmed there’s more on the way. These include Adobe Fonts, better captions, keyframes, cropping tools, beat detection, and the ability to keep editing a project on Premiere desktop.
The free version, upgrades, and what you’ll need
The free app covers all the editing essentials. If you want extra generative AI credits or more storage, paid upgrades are available. But nothing is locked behind a paywall to use the core editing tools.
To run it, you’ll need an Android device on Android 13 or later, with at least 5GB of RAM.
