This year, Meta’s annual showcase centred on one idea: a personal AI agent that works for you, paired with devices that let you reach it throughout the day. Mark Zuckerberg shared updates to Muse, a wider glasses lineup with more than 100 styles by the end of the year, the first Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses, and a new device called Meta VR Glasses.
Here is the full rundown of Meta Connect 2026 with Australian pricing and availability where we have it.
Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent
Muse is moving beyond the phone, and several updates came with it.
Voice and avatar. You can talk with Muse in real time and shape how it sounds by describing the voice you want, such as faster, slower or with a particular accent. Muse keeps working in the background while you chat. A new model, Muse Realtime Avatar, adds an expressive on-screen version of your Muse for live video conversations.
Muse on AI glasses. In the coming months, Muse arrives on Meta’s AI glasses for hands-free use. Say your agent’s name and it can turn conversations into actions, like adding items to a shopping list or finding a time to catch up with a friend and sending the invite. It can also respond to what you’re looking at, whether that’s a product on a shelf, a flyer on a wall or a long school supply list.
Its own email address. Muse gets an email address of its own, which it can use to get things done or which you can use as another way to reach it.
Muse for Mac. Computer use is now part of Muse for Mac. With your permission, Muse can drive any app on your Mac and keep working through your task list while you step away.
More connectors. New shopping partners include Walmart, Best Buy, American Eagle Outfitters, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Fanatics, Gap, Michael Kors, Sephora, Ulta and Wayfair, with Shop Pay and PayPal for payments. Instacart covers groceries, Expedia is coming soon for travel, and Notion, Granola, GitHub and Box cover work.
Muse Charm. This pocket-sized device is built for talking with Muse, using a real-time voice model. Meta will share more later this year.
Muse and Muse Charm are not yet available in Australia.

Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3)
The next generation of the world’s bestselling AI glasses has a slimmer, more comfortable design, longer battery life and a customisable action button for quick access to Meta AI. Two new styles join Wayfarer, which now comes in Gen 3: Aviator, a classic silhouette, and Zena, a modern cat-eye.
In Australia, Gen 3 is available now, priced from $679 to $769 AUD.
Ray-Ban Meta Audio Glasses
These are Meta’s first audio glasses, built around the feature wearers use most on their AI glasses: audio. They combine open-ear sound with AI in classic Ray-Ban styling.
- Battery: up to 12 hours on a single charge, plus up to 48 more hours from the charging case
- Weight: 43 grams, the lightest and slimmest AI glasses Meta has made
- Styles: 23 colour and lens combinations across two new shapes, Clubmaster and Burbank
- Prescriptions: both styles are prescription-compatible
- Australia: available from 13 October, priced from $529 to $619 AUD

New Meta Glasses styles
The Meta Glasses collection grows with:

A Mix & Match program in the US lets customers choose their own frame, lens and case colours.
Meta Ray-Ban Display
For the first time, Meta Ray-Ban Display can be ordered online. It’s on sale now in Canada and the UK, with pre-orders open in France, Italy and Germany ahead of availability on 13 October. Cycling and public transit directions arrive later this month in the US and Canada, controlled by voice.
New Features for Meta AI glasses
A set of software updates rolls out over the coming months, aimed at keeping your eyes up and your phone in your bag.
- Guided workouts: hands-free coaching for running and cycling
- Nutrition tracking: personalised insights
- Shopping AI: identifies products, prices and reviews, so you can set alerts or buy by voice

Meta VR Glasses
TheMeta VR Glasses fold a cinema, a workspace and a console into a comfortable, glasses-like form.
- Weight: about 100 grams, five times lighter than Meta Quest 3
- Display: a 5K Infinite Display built on micro-OLED panels
- Design: the battery and processors sit in a puck you clip to a belt, pocket or bag, which keeps the weight off your face
- Workspace: multi-panel virtual displays, plus surface input that turns a table or desk into a keyboard and touchpad
- Navigation: eye tracking and hand gestures, with no controllers needed
- Meta AI: ask it to rearrange your workspace or start a movie on apps like Disney+, YouTube, HBO Max and Prime Video
- Hologram: a photorealistic, real-time digital version of you for calls, created from a quick self-capture on your phone. It arrives with Meta VR Glasses and begins rolling out in early access on WhatsApp for Meta Ray-Ban Display users in the US in the coming months.
Meta VR Glasses will be available in Australia in 2027 at $1,299.99 USD, with Australian pricing to be confirmed.

Games
Beat Saber gets its biggest update yet next spring on Meta VR Glasses and Meta Quest, with a visual refresh, a new logo and a new mode called Flux. Flux is built around hand tracking: you channel energy between your palms to slice notes and build Jolt Energy for bonus points.
New games designed for hand tracking, playable without controllers on Meta VR Glasses or with them on Meta Quest, include:
- Cardmada
- Dice Throne Digital
- Dragon Grove
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies
- Supernatural
- Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities
- Two Point Hospital
What this means for your wardrobe and your day
The thread running through Connect 2026 is that tech is becoming something you wear rather than something you hold. Between more than 100 glasses styles, a pair built around open-ear audio and a personal AI agent that follows you through the day, Meta is pitching technology that fits around how you already live.
If you’re shopping now, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) is available in Australia today, and the new Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses land on 13 October, so there’s a choice of styles to try in time for the busy season ahead. Meta VR Glasses are the longer wait, arriving in 2027, and Muse is yet to reach Australia, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for local news.
We’ll be following all of it closely, so check back for first impressions, hands-on reviews and local pricing as they arrive.
