The SingularityU Australia Summit is on today and tomorrow, featuring groundbreaking technologies which will soon be impacting our lives. From holograms to virtual reality – and robotics to medtech – you can see it all at this event and transform the way you think about technology in the future.

This two-day event is being held at the Grand Hall of the University of Technology in Ultimo, Sydney. There are a host of tech companies demonstrating their latest inventions at the Summit and they’re offering interactive participation from attendees so you can ‘experience’ the new tech.

The SingularityU Summit starts at 8.30am and goes through until 9pm both today and tomorrow, Wednesday 24th March 2021.

Here are some of the tech exhibitors you can ‘experience’:

Teslasuit – a full body haptic feedback platform which can transfer sensation from virtual reality to a human body through electric impulse. See more in the video below or visit here.

Humense – this is a technology which demonstrates eye-to-eye, life-sized holograms. See how this all works at the Summit or see more info here.

The UOW ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science – Here you’ll learn about ‘Biopen’ – a new medical technology used by surgeons to directly print healing cells into a patient’s body during procedures such as knee surgery. For more information, visit here.

Anuraj Gambhir – from Anuraj Gambhir you’ll hear about all the latest in wearables, implantables, immersive technologies and robotics. He’s an innovative speaker on all things futuristic.

The 3D Visualisation Aesthetics Lab – using VR and 3D immersive tech, this 3D Lab allows users to explore the inside workings of anything. For example, you can see how car systems come together or learn about anatomy, exploring it from inside an artery. Researchers are currently using this technology for cancer research but it can be used for teaching purposes too. See video below:

Virbela – following on from COVID, this company has created a virtual platform for conferencing and learning. Create your avatar and sit in a lecture or go sit under a tree with your colleagues and discuss work in this immersive environment. For more information visit here.

Motus Science – this is a new app for mental health which uses AI and provides predictive analytics to inform healthcare decisions at organisational and individual levels.

Virtureal – this technology specialises in the development of Translocative and Fully-Immersive Virtual Reality simulations, for tactical and weapons training within defence and first responder organisations. See video below.

ANSTO – The ANSTO XR app uses a mix of AR and VR to transport you to the scale of an atom and discover the world of protons, neutrons, and electrons.
