Say goodbye to wrist strain. Shop ergonomic mouse wrist rests designed to reduce fatigue, improve posture, and keep you comfortable while working or gaming. Report by Amber Sherlock.

I spend much of my day writing, editing, researching and answering emails, so comfort at my desk isn’t a luxury, it’s essential. When you’re spending hours behind a keyboard, even small ergonomic improvements can make a noticeable difference.

After testing Kensington’s Duo Gel Keyboard Wrist Rest and Mouse Wrist Rest over several days, I found they delivered on comfort with an unexpected bonus, they look great and make my workstation much more appealing!

First impressions

Let’s start with the aesthetics. Ergonomic accessories aren’t usually known for their style, but Kensington’s soft pastel green and pink Duo Gel range is a refreshing departure from the standard black and grey office accessories. The colours instantly brightened my desk and created a workspace that felt more inviting and modern.

The pastel colourway was also a hit with my teenage daughter, who declared it “so aesthetic” the moment she saw it. It’s a reminder that practical office accessories don’t have to be boring!

Comfort

Comfort is where these products really shine.

Over several days of writing, editing, researching and working through emails, the gel cushioning noticeably reduced wrist fatigue. The cushioning is soft without feeling squishy and provides gentle support during long periods at the computer.

Mouse Wrist Rest – My Favourite

The standout product for me was the Duo Gel Mouse Wrist Rest.

Because it’s a standalone gel cushion rather than being attached to a mouse pad, I could position it exactly where it felt most natural. I found a slight diagonal angle worked best with my setup, allowing my wrist to remain in a comfortable, neutral position while still giving me complete freedom of movement.

It also stayed firmly in place throughout the day, which meant I wasn’t constantly adjusting it while working.

It’s one of those accessories that quietly improves your workday and one I’ll definitely continue using.

Keyboard Wrist Rest

The Duo Gel Keyboard Wrist Rest was a little more of a mixed experience, although I think that’s largely due to my own workstation.

I use a very slim external keyboard connected to my laptop, and I found the wrist rest sat noticeably higher than the keyboard itself. While the gel cushioning was comfortable, the height didn’t quite align with my low-profile keyboard, making it feel slightly less natural during extended typing sessions.

I suspect this wrist rest would be a much better match for a standard desktop keyboard with a higher profile. For anyone using an ultra-slim keyboard like mine, it’s something worth considering before purchasing.

Design & Build Quality

Both wrist rests feel well made and remained securely in place throughout testing. The quality feels premium, the gel cushioning maintains its shape, and the colourful design is a welcome change from the purely functional look of most ergonomic accessories.

They’re practical, comfortable and attractive, a combination that’s surprisingly difficult to find in office accessories.

Final Verdict

Kensington has managed to combine ergonomic comfort with thoughtful design, creating desk accessories that don’t just feel good, they also look great.

For me, the mouse wrist rest is the standout product. It’s comfortable, versatile and something I’ll continue using every day.

The keyboard wrist rest is also well made and supportive, but I believe it’s best suited to people using a standard-height desktop keyboard rather than an ultra-slim model.

If you’re looking to make long days at your desk a little more comfortable while adding a touch of colour to your workspace, the Kensington Duo Gel range is well worth considering.
