Women Love Tech Journalists Were Finalists For Four 2023 Samsung IT Journalism Awards

Pamela Connellan and Robyn Foyster

Two Journalists from Women Love Tech were finalists in four categories at the 21st Samsung Australian IT Journalism Awards – or The Lizzies as they’re known – held at Luna Park in Sydney recently. These awards are the technology media’s highest honour, recognising the best technology journalism and media in Australia and New Zealand.

Women Love Tech’s Editor Robyn Foyster, was a finalist for Best Corporate Content, Best Independent Coverage and Best Video Program. Women Love Tech Journalist, Pamela Connellan, was a finalist for Best Consumer Technology Coverage.

Earlier this year, Robyn, who owns and runs Women Love Tech, The Carousel and Game Changers, was also a finalist for Champions of Change at the Women In Technology Awards.

This was the 21st year for the Samsung Australian IT Journalism Awards, supported by Samsung, Enex TestLab, Watterson Marketing Communications, Amazon Web Services, Atlassian, Optus and Apptio. Over 300 people attended the awards ceremony at Luna Park’s Crystal Ballroom including the finalists, other members of the media and people who are part of the tech industry’s public relations and technology communities.

ABC Radio’s Jeremy Kirk and Marc Fennell’s Download This Show took home the Best Journalist and Best Title awards respectively.

This year also marked the introduction of three new awards, which went to James O’Connor for Best Game Reviewer, Nick Ross for Best Technology Reviewer and Jeremy Kirk for Best Short Form Content, making them the inaugural awardees.
