New Track Out From Keith Urban In Time For World Sleep Day

It’s World Sleep Day this Friday, 19th March, and in Australia it’s World Sleep Week this week. To celebrate, Keith Urban has released a new hour-long track called I Am Home on the sleep app – Calm – to rock you to sleep in a very calm, meditative way.

Four-time GRAMMY Award winner, Urban, has collaborated with Calm – a well-known mental wellness app for sleep, meditation and relaxation for the first time. He’s recorded an hour-long track called I Am Home, so now you can fall asleep to his dreamy, ethereal vocals and classic winding guitar on the new track.

I Am Home is available only on Calm and joins other original sleep, mindfulness and music content, including special releases from Harry Styles, LeBron James, Laura Dern, Matthew McConaughey and Kelly Rowland.

Calm is currently the number one app for sleep, meditation and relaxation. When asked why he worked with Calm on this new track, Urban said he’s found a good night’s sleep is an essential part of his routine and that over the years, he’s learnt to prioritise sleep as his schedule has evolved as a touring artist. Keith is also a self-proclaimed fan of meditative and calming music.

When asked about how he went about writing the hour-long song, I Am Home, he said: “The process of creating this song was different from anything I’ve done before. Without having to focus on guitar riffs, a hit chorus, or a three-minute time frame, I approached the song from a vibratory place – the key and tempo, speed of the chord changes – I just went with what I felt flowed and what I would want if I wanted to bring my energy down.”

Following special releases from Moses Sumney and Lindsey Stirling in 2020, I Am Home is Calm’s third ‘Calm Original’ — music created exclusively to stream on the platform.

As Courtney Phillips, Head of Calm Music said: “We couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Keith to grow our Calm Originals library with the release of I Am Home. His talent, creativity and intuitive knack for designing a song made to soothe you to sleep was second to none, and we can’t wait for our users to listen.”

When recording music for Calm, artists are able to explore their creativity and flex their artistic muscles beyond the constraints of standard radio tracks and at the same time, help listeners relax easier and sleep better.
