Mirror Founding Story
Mirror was founded by Brynn Putnam, creator of Refine Method. The company is headquartered in New York City. Mirror launched in November 2020 in more than a dozen retail stores across the United States.
When Brynn was newly pregnant, she was keen to try working out at home. She tried a couple of apps and videos on YouTube, but she wasn’t motivated. Around the same time, she added some regular mirrors to her fitness studios, Refine Method. The clients provided positive feedback and these allowed them to self-correct and work harder. She wondered if the slim footprint could be combined with interactive visuals and sound.
Mirror Features
Working out with Mirror provides a range of exercise types from dance (hip-hop, Latin, ballet, dance cardio), kettlebell, yoga flow, boxing, barre, boot camp, kickboxing, cardio and strength, family fun, Pilates, pre-postnatal fitness, stretch, sculpt and meditation. You can filter the classes by level, instructor, duration and equipment.
The Mirror has an embedded camera and microphone that can be turned on when you have a Personal Training session.
Costs US$1,495 and US$39/month or finance on US$42/month.
Guests can see Mirror for themselves at mirror.com, in-store, and in select lululemon stores across the U.S., including New York, Washington, Miami, Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco and surrounding areas.
