A Pink Moment With Purpose: GHD’s 23-Year Legacy Returns

If you needed a sign to justify a new hot tool and feel good about it at the same time, this is it.

GHD has just launched its limited-edition Dusted Pink collection in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, marking 23 years of its global Pink campaign. And it’s the kind of beauty-meets-purpose drop that makes your styling routine feel a little more meaningful.

A beauty launch with real impact

From 1 July 2026, GHD is rolling out its Dusted Pink collection across Australia, reimagining some of its most-loved tools in a soft, matte blush finish that feels equal parts nostalgic and modern. But the real story isn’t the shade, it’s the impact behind it.

For every limited-edition tool sold locally, $20 is donated directly to National Breast Cancer Foundation, helping fund life-saving breast cancer research and reinforcing the importance of regular self-checks.

And this isn’t a “green” (err “pink” washing) moment. In fact, the brand’s Pink campaign has been running for 23 years, raising more than $25.5 million globally for breast cancer charities. In a beauty industry often driven by “newness for newness’ sake”, that kind of longevity hits differently.

The collection brings together GHD’s biggest heroes: the Chronos, Chronos Max, Helios dryer, Gold styler, Curve Grand Tong, and the Duet Blowdry – all dressed in Dusted Pink and paired with a matching heat-resistant bag. Think of it as your everyday styling kit, but with a cause built in.

As GHD continues its partnerships with over 12 breast cancer organisations worldwide, the message behind the collection is clear: confidence is powerful, and so is awareness.

My Pick: The GHD Duet Blowdry (Dusted Pink Edition)

There are two things you should know about me before we begin.

First: I have very thick, very in-denial-about-the-curls Middle Eastern hair.

Second: I do not have a strong relationship with time. Not in a philosophical way. In an “I’m on the way, (But I’m really still in a towel?)” way. Let’s call it cultural – Lebanese Time is a real thing – and leave it there.

So when I had to make the decison of which one of the GHD’s annual Pink campaign research hair tools to try (one day, I will be a millionaire and add the entire range to cart) , I went for one that promised a salon blowout in minutes, with no heat damage and minimal effort. The fact that it was now avaialable in a pretty prink colour way made my choice as easy as ABC. Or GHD…

GHD Duet Blowdry is a 2-in-1 wet-to-blowdry styler

In simple terms, the GHD Duet Blowdry is a 2-in-1 wet-to-blowdry styler that dries and shapes your hair at the same time, removing the need for the usual brush-plus-dryer juggling act. In reality, it feels like someone has quietly removed 40% of the effort from doing your hair.

For thick, textured, slightly stubborn hair (moi!), it’s surprisingly cooperative. Instead of fighting frizz into submission, it smooths and softens while still letting your natural texture exist – just in a more polished, controlled way.

The biggest shift is time. What would normally be a full blowdry situation becomes something I could realistically get through in around 10–20 minutes, without turning my bathroom into a heat-styling battlefield. It’s especially good on mornings when you are already behind schedule before you’ve even started.

There is a small learning curve – mostly around working in sections and not rushing it like you rush everything else in life. But once you get the rhythm, it becomes almost autopilot. Brush, glide, move on. Repeat until hair behaves.

The finish sits in that sweet spot between “I did nothing” and “I went to a salon”, with soft volume at the root and a smooth, glossy bend through the lengths. Importantly, it avoids that over-flattened, over-styled look that can sometimes happen with hot brushes on thicker hair types.

It’s not featherlight, and it won’t magically turn you into someone who enjoys hair styling before coffee. But it does make the whole process feel less like a chore and more like a shortcut you’ll actually keep using.

And in the context of the Dusted Pink collection, it also carries a little extra meaning – a reminder that everyday rituals can sit alongside impact. You’re not just getting a better blowout; you’re also contributing, in a small way, to the work of the National Breast Cancer Foundation National Breast Cancer Foundation.
