Before they were rivals in becoming an on-demand home cleaning services, but now, UrbanYou have acquired HomeHello – cementing their position to become Australia’s leading household services.
Ex-Yahoo executive and UrbanYou’s co-founder, Noga Edelstein, said that the acquisition was made possible due to the “phenomenal growth” of their company for the past 12 months. The expansion of the business is on track in becoming a premiere service in the country for the time-poor households.
Noga Edelstein with her co-founder Elke Keeley expressed that UrbanYou will penetrate in Brisbane. “The company has generated 4 million in sales from more than 30,000 home service bookings across Sydney and Melbourne.”
In light of the acquisition, they are also looking forward to triple their growth within 12 months, double their digits monthly and expand their networks and user base.
The Strategic Acquisition of HomeHello
With an open mind, Edelstein said that they’re always ready for expansion and take on challenges in exploring growth opportunities. With that mind, Edelstein said, “When HomeHello approached us, it was the right time for our business to scale and we were able to complete the transaction quickly.”
“HomeHello have successfully built a strong and loyal recurring business, and welcoming these users to UrbanYou, instantly doubles this sector of our business. And when combining our networks, UrbanYou boasts the largest network of top-quality service professionals available on-demand,” explained Edelstein.
“Existing HomeHello customers will also benefit from our superior customer service experience, new technologies, and additional service offerings such as gardening, exit cleaning, and carpet-cleaning, so it really is a win-win,” added Edelstein.
HomeHello’s co-founder Richard Lin is happy about the acquisition. “We’re incredibly proud of everything the HomeHello team has built and achieved over the past three years and we are extremely confident in UrbanYou’s ability to continue our mission of providing quality home services to all Australians.”
Premium Household Service Provider
Because both companies are helping busy people get things done in terms of home cleaning and maintenance, Edelstein believes that the trust and quality of service will be more stronger.
Continuing the momentum, UrbanYou will also be launching their two new mobile apps and self-managed portals for both service providers and customers respectively. These advancements will further enhance the automation of user booking and payments, and integrate UrbanYou into the business operations of their service provider network.
“We are very proud of our ability to build depth in market and user loyalty, and implementing our rollup strategy to gain instant liquidity, we’re continuing our mission to help busy people manage their everyday household services, quickly and conveniently,” added Edelstein.
