We’ve been waiting for a while the famous Yosemite release of the powerful Mac operating system now available for a free upgrade. Yosemite is the latest major release of the world’s most advanced desktop operating system with a brand mew design, amazing features and powerful versions of the apps you use every day.

I will explain in details how to download Yosemite and how it will change for ever the way you use your Apple Mac. Truly it’s a revolution and it’s like getting a whole new Mac for free!

My first advice, before downloading Yosemite, check you are running the latest updates on your Mac.

– Click on the App store icon/updates, I noticed last Friday there was a new update for iTunes 12 with a new sleek look.

– System requirement: IOS 8.1

Download Yosemite

– You will see the below photo when the new system is ready for your computer, click on free

– Note it will take close to 3 hours to update your Mac, yes it’s a big baby of 5.16GB so ensure you have enough memory on your computer first.

– If you don’ have enough memory it’s time to a spring clean in your computer delete all the files you don’t know, the important ones, back up on an external hardrive, and don’t forget to empty your trash.

“OS X Yosemite ushers in the future of computing, where your Apple devices all work together seamlessly and magically. It’s something only Apple can do, and it’s available today.”
