Spotify as you once new it is about to change – for the better.

After months of testing and research, the Desktop and Web Player has been given a makeover aimed at making easier to navigate than previously.

This includes clean design, more controls, and a great new foundation for listeners to use Spotify across the desktop app and web player.

Available to all Free and Premium users globally in the coming weeks.

Here’s the new Spotify features

  • A new improved look and feel, with easier access to the content you love: “Search” can now be found on the left side of the navigation page. Second, our refresh of listeners’ profile pages now includes top artists and tracks. And finally, listeners can now start a radio session for any song or artist radio by simply clicking the “…”-menu.
  • Simpler playlist creation and more control: More ways for listeners to easily tailor their playlists, including the ability to write descriptions, upload images, drag and drop tracks into existing playlists, and even use a new embedded search bar to find and add new songs and podcast episodes to new and existing playlists.
  • Save bandwidth with Offline: Premium subscribers can download their favourite music and podcasts to play them back, even while offline by simply hitting the download button (icon) in the desktop app.
  • Sing along to your favourite songs with synced lyrics: For the first time, web player users in Australia can now access synced Lyrics. The feature will also appear on the desktop app in a new, refreshing style that’s consistent with the updated design and desktop experience.
